Surrender – Brenda Jackson

Synopsis:

When it comes to love, never say never…

After a childhood spent moving from army base to army base, independent-minded Nettie Brooms is determined to secure a stable life—and never become involved with a military man. Then she meets incredibly handsome and charming Ashton Sinclair, a dedicated colonel in the U.S. Marines whose intent on capturing her heart—no matter what it takes. Now Nettie’s wondering how a man she swore she would avoid could so easily test her resolve by igniting an irrestible passion she can’t walk away from.

The Review:

This is one of my favorites from Brenda. Ashton and Netherlands story is so romantic and passionate. I love how Ashton wore Nettie down but in a seductive manner. Brenda yet again delivers vivid and sensual hot images in this book with her writing. My only flaw with this book is the second story of one of Nettie’s employees falling in love as well. I didn’t mind the falling in love part of course but from what I read it happened within a weeks time and the story just didn’t captivate me like Nettie and Ashton’s did. For that I’ll give this book a 4 out of 5 star rating. But I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone.

When Luke gets injured in a rodeo, he knows the only place where he can recuperate—without being smothered by his worried family—is at Mac’s place. After all, like Mac, he has no interest in any romantic entanglements…untill being in such close quarters with Mac forces Luke to confront a desire he can no longer fight…

With each passing day, Mac and Luke come to realize that their smoldering attraction can be put out only if they surrender to it. But what Mac doesn’t realize is that once you give yourself to a Madaris man, there’s no turning back…

The Review:

Brenda delivers another hit with this one. Brenda yet again has hot, romantic and steamy love scenes that are just amazing. I like how both Mac and Luke are resolving their qualms about love through each other. They both have trust issues of the opposite sex but their sizzling chemistry just buries all of that. I loved this book and I’d give it a 5 out of rating. I’d definitely recommend it.
